SWEET CAROLINE is a beautiful 1900’s solid oak bureau bookcase with original leaded  glass doors. Completely stripped sanded and cleaned and painted In Fusion Mineral Paint, Coal Black and finished in Osmo wax oil.
The original hardware has been removed and cleaned, gold accents added using pigments with a Ginko leaf stencil inside the cupboard.
 
The bureau section has been repurposed to make better use of space. Reinforced glass has been added to give her a modern look and a mirror added to the inside of the bureau door. She also has  two generous sized storage drawers.  She can be used to store your favourite drinks and glasses or as a display cabinet.

Please be advised this piece of furniture is approx. 120 years old and has had a previous life. She has some imperfections that are part of her character but she has been lovingly restored, hand painted and improved to create a piece of furniture for modern living for many more years to come. Sweet Caroline is a bespoke piece that is individual, her fixings are original  so may show signs of a previous life but very care is I have taken to refinish her to a high standard with all of the respect she deserves.She is a study solid piece that will live on for another 120 years………... #newlifeinold
